TryHackMe - Ice Walkthrough
In this room, I worked on a beginner-friendly Windows box running an old Icecast media server to practice a full offensive workflow in a safe lab environment. After discovering exposed services (commonly HTTP on port 8000 and an Icecast banner), I gained initial access by exploiting a legacy Icecast vulnerability (using a public PoC or Metasploit) to obtain a shell, then performed Windows post-exploitation—enumeration, credential harvesting, and privilege escalation to reach Administrator.
This room provided hands-on experience in network/service discovery, legacy exploit use, and Windows post-exploitation techniques, reinforcing practical penetration-testing skills and ethical lab practice.
