Some of you have asked me if I could release the source code for my other videos. My response has always been: yes, I would like to, but in addition to a repository, I would need to explain a lot more so that a developer who is just starting out can quickly get up to speed.
For creating Shimmer/IOTA apps with Rust and Flutter, I use the fantastic project of the Flutter-Rust-Bridge. It has extensive features and enables the smooth interplay of the Rust programming language with the frontend framework Flutter. However, the setup is not quite easy for beginners.
I am excited to announce that with the support of the Tangle Community Treasury, I have started creating a tutorial in the form of a GitHub Page.
This video marks the end of the first milestone (out of three planned milestones) and does not include any Shimmer or IOTA functionality this time. Instead, it describes how to set up an app from A to Z to evaluate log messages from Rust in Flutter for Android, macOS, and iOS.
While Milestone 1 is about explaining the basics and the setup, I will focus on Shimmer and IOTA from Milestone 2 onwards.
Enjoy!
