CSS, or Cascading Style Sheets, is a style sheet markup language.HTML, XHML, XML, and other XML-based languages are examples of markup languages. CSS is most often used to style HTML web pages. The CSS isn’t required for HTML to work, but without it, every web page would look the same. CSS allows you to target particular components on a web page and modify their appearance and organization. CSS may shrink an embedded picture or use it as a backdrop for the whole site. To make a heading stand out from the rest of the page, expand it and use a different font.

CSS is useful in any job that requires web development. Web designers utilize HTML and CSS to create website templates, mockups, and styles, which web developers use to construct websites. Front-end web developers create browser-based online applications by combining CSS, HTML, and JavaScript. Full-stack web developers design both the browser and server-side parts of a web application, and they need to know CSS to make the front-end appear decent. To add custom styles to articles published using a content management system like WordPress, content managers may need to know CSS. Junior web developer, social media manager, website editor, content editor, website project manager, website support expert, and webmaster are some of the other job titles that may need CSS knowledge.
Before I start studying CSS, what skills should I have?
Before studying CSS, you should be familiar with the fundamentals of computer operation and how to operate a text editor, since this is where you will be composing CSS. You should also be familiar with web browsers for accessing the internet, since this will help you utilize CSS more effectively. Because you may need to use specific tools to write CSS, you should be able to install software and create and manage files and folders on your computer before starting a CSS project. After you’ve mastered those abilities, the next step is to study HTML; after all, CSS is useless without an HTML page on which to apply styles. That should cover the essentials for getting started with CSS.
