Learn how to deploy a JavaScript / Node-style API on Cloudflare Workers from scratch.
In this tutorial, we create a GitHub repository, set up a local Cloudflare Workers project with npm and Wrangler, write a simple JavaScript API, run it locally with wrangler dev, test the endpoints with curl, push the project to GitHub, and deploy it through the Cloudflare Workers dashboard.
We also look at what a larger, well-structured JavaScript API can look like with multiple files, and take a quick peek at the Cloudflare dashboard to see some of the extra capabilities Workers gives you for building APIs, backend logic, edge functions, and serverless JavaScript applications.
By the end, you’ll understand the basic workflow for building, testing, deploying, and organizing a Cloudflare Workers JavaScript API.
