Here's how I make Lua scripts for Dynasty Warriors games. This is just the method I use, and there might be different (probably even better) methods.

Quick disclaimer: The addresses I used in this video only work for the NTSC-U version of DW4XL. If you want to do this for any other version of the game, you need to find different addresses.
