Creating Multithreaded Applications
There are currently 5 different ways to do threading inside Qt, and it can be difficult to figure out which one to choose. Bo Thorsen, CEO of Viking Software and Qt developer since 1997, goes through the different options, shows how to use each of them, and gives examples of what the individual solutions can be used for. Then he goes on to describe the performance implications, and lastly when to avoid threads and instead focus on event driven programming.
