𝐇𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐢𝐠𝐚𝐧 𝐢𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐱 (𝐇𝐈) is computed by taking the logarithm of the ratio among the sum-of-squares between each cluster (𝐒𝐒𝐁) and the sum-of-squares within the clusters (𝐒𝐒𝐖). It is a cluster evaluation technique.
