Python is a very advanced language, we call it a high-level language, which means that we don't need to worry about trivial details, such as memory, all we care about is the application itself, with python you have pretty of time to focus on solving the problem. My favorite thing about python is that my productivity increases in a order of 10 times or more, I'm not kidding, with Python you write less code and get more stuff done, give it a try!
