I found a cool Wordpress Security plugin that's free and does the job quite well. It's called "Wordfence" and they have a free version available. You can install it on your Wordpress "plugin" dashboard or you can go to http://www.Wordfence.com to check it out.
I've been hacked before and it was a major pain in the... You know. If you're concerned about finding a good WP Security plugin there are several available but check out Wordfence. I think you'll find it does the job quite well and it keeps you informed of pending issues.

Instructions:
You can get Wordfence by simply going to your Wordpress dashboard.
1. Click on "Plugins"
2. At the top left of your screen click "Add New"
3. At the top right you will see a form field that says "search plugins"
in that field type "Wordfence" and push "enter" on your keyboard.
4. At the top row of results you should see "Wordfence". Go ahead and click the "install now" button to begin the process.
