A promise is simply a object that holds an asynchronous task which is yet to be completed. When you define a promise object in your script, instead of returning a value immediately, it returns a promise.

Callback is technique in which we pass a function to another function as an argument for performing asynchronous tasks.
Promises vs callback:
Callback are prone to have callback hell issues but there is no such problems in Promise.
