This lesson explains how to use the Elevation Profile tool to quickly generate an elevation profile graph along a line using ArcGIS Pro. The Elevation Profile tool is an Exploratory Analysis tool that works for 3D scenes and 2D maps.
In our example, we will examine the elevation profile for a section of the Grand Canyon showing you a quick overview of how to use the Elevation Profile tool and some of its primary features.
In this short video, you will learn how to:
• Interactively place an elevation profile line
• Interactive move the points of an elevation profile line
• Read the elevation profile graph
• Expand the elevation profile graph
• Export the elevation profile graph as a PNG file
• Delete the elevation profile line and graph.
