Deno is a secure JavaScript run-time, similar to Node.js.
It's much more secure to Node.js, supports TypeScript by default and is written in RUST.
Rayn Dahl who created node.js is also the creator of Deno. Deno overcomes many of the short comings of node.js, but is not a replacement of node.js as of yet.
If you are a node.js developer it's very easy to understand Deno and also spot the key differences.
Deno is still very young and hence not suitable for production applications. But it's a great time to start learning it and stay ahead of the curve and become an early adopter.
We can't obviously say for sure, but it's my understanding after working much with Deno that it's here to stay and get Big, but at the same time co-exist with nodejs.
This series covers the basics of Deno and helps you kick-start your Deno development.
In this video we will install Deno on our system and set it up for development. We will also run our very first deno program.
