Lecture 9 | Program for Drilling Cycle With G74 Code | CNC Simulator Pro | CNC Machining Programming
G74 in FANUC controller is a very powerful and versatile peck drilling cycle which relieves us from many unwanted chores and is used for making holes. Although Fanuc G74 peck drilling cycle for Fanuc CNC control can be used in variety of ways but this CNC programming example is just doing a simple peck drilling.
The syntax for this is:-
G74 R(e)
G74 X Z P Q F
Here,
R (e) –Return amount, mm
X –Always zero, mm
Z –Drilling depth, mm
P –Depth of cut/Stepping in X axis in mm or micron
Q –Depth of cut/Stepping in Z axis in mm or micron
F –Feed Rate, mm/min or mm/rev
