CodeQL Error: CodeQL detects code but could not process it

This video explains what may be happening, and how to solve, the problem of CodeQL code scanning detecting your code, but not running an actual scan. You may receive an error message like this one:

Encountered a fatal error while running "/opt/hostedtoolcache/CodeQL/2.19.0/x64/codeql/codeql database finalize --finalize-dataset --threads=2 --ram=6914 /home/runner/work/_temp/codeql_databases/python".
