In this 2,5 minute video I'll show you how to setup custom permission levels in SharePoint. For example Contribute, cannot delete. This helps a lot when launching new platforms - and everyone is a little bit nervous and trigger happy with deleting stuff. Especially on Intranet level as a mistake has a much bigger impact.
Make sure that there is someone on the Team who has delete rights to help out in the beginning, or a workflow where people can request content to be deleted.
