This video builds on the last tutorial I did on building awesome #command #line #application using #python3 #argparse for #windows #linux #macos.
In this video we are going to have two commands #aws and #k8s. We will be taking a look at
1. Import #argparse e
2. creating #entrypoint for cli
3. creating #argparse class #constructor
4. add #version flag
5. create #subcommands
6. create #subparser class object to access #class methods/functions
7. create first subcommand parser using subparser object
8. add required flags to subcommand
9. create an optional flag
10. create second subcommand parser
11. add subcommand flag with #options
12. checking for subparser name and acting accordingly
The benefit of using #argparse module is that it comes baked into python3 so all you have to do is install python3 and you are good to go.
Development Environment
1. #python3
2. #macos #monterrey
3. #vscode
