Struts 2 Framework - Java Tips
Let say you want to create a simple "Hello World" example that allows user to input his name. If his name is Mike then forward to welcome page and say hello to him. Otherwise, stay in the same page and write a message to inform the user that the application doesn't recognize him.
By completing the example, we are separating the work flow into three well-known concerns: the View, the Model, and the Controller. Separating concerns makes it easier to manage applications.
Struts 2 framework is a successor framework - it is modern, highly decoupled, feature rich, well maintained and successfully running in many mission critical projects in the wild. It shares the same basic principles with Struts 1, but offers a highly improved architecture and API.
