The command line allows you to do a lot, both on your local computer and remotely. Mastering it is especially important when there's no other way to interact with the computer (for example, through a GUI).

In such situations, you might need to search for text in a file. Whether you're looking for a section of code, a specific line in the logs, or something else—the grep utility can help.

It allows you to search within a specific file or recursively through an entire directory. You can search by text or using a regular expression.
