Adding python serverless functions as Django workers 🗡
After 14 hours of research, here's the simplest way I found to add a python serverless function to my product as a Django background worker 🗡.
The simplest way is using DigitalOcean Functions, and I'll show you development, deployment to production, and setting up GitHub Actions.

— Develop serverless functions locally (including Python packages, without AWS Lambda layers, and without cumbersome Docker)
— Call the serverless python function async. Both in your development app and in production (i.e., without blocking your server response)
