Pilot Program - Another Rain Screen
This is another Pilot Project using a rain screen system in their exterior walls.
To be honest, most of our Pilots details are designed with a rain screen system, as it allows for the walls to dry out better. This significantly extends the life of the exterior finishes.
Anyway, this house is going to have vertical wood siding, which has not gone in yet.
We can see the vertical and horizontal back plastic strips that will receive the siding. These strips are made of a vertical honey comb structure that allows air circulation and drainage behind the wall sigings.
The last picture shows the piece that goes at the bottom and at the top of the rain screen system. This piece comes with a fabric that works as bug screen, and stops bus from getting into the cavity behind the siding.
