Steps to properly parallel park for your driver test.
STEP 1: After putting on your right turn signal, drive up alongside the cone in front of your parking stall and stop when your back right tire is in line with the corner cone. You should be no more than 2 feet away from the cone.
STEP 2: Put the car in reverse, and turn the steering wheel all the way to the right. Look over left shoulder first, then look over your right shoulder through the back window and start to slowly back into the stall.
STEP 3: When your passenger side mirror is about 2-3 feet past the corner cone, stop. Turn the steering wheel all the way to the left, look over your right shoulder through the back window, and slowly back up again. Stop the car once it is parallel with the curb.
STEP 4: With your foot on the brake, put the car in drive and turn the steering wheel one and a half times to the right. Drift forward to the center of the stall and stop. You should be no more than 6 inches away from the curb.
