Protractor: AngularJS Automation: Step by step setup
Setup Protractor
Prerequiste: NodeJs, Jasmine
Step 1: Install Protractor using npm : npm install -g protractor
It will install two command line tools, protractor, and web driver-manager
Step 2: Check Protractor installed Successfully or not
protractor --version
Step 3: Update Webdriver manager
web driver-manager update
The web drive-manager is a helper tool to easily get an instance of a Selenium Server running
Step 4: Now start up a server with:
webdriver-manager start, You can see information about the status of the server at http://localhost:4444/wd/hub
Protractor test will send requests to this server to control a local browser
Note: This server should be started as pre-requite to run protractor test cases
