About chroot - A chroot on Unix operating systems is an operation that changes the apparent root directory for the current running process and its children.


Commands -
1) Create a directory which will be parent directory
mkdir /home/jail

2) create binary and library directories
mkdir /home/jail/bin /home/jail/lib64

3) copy all commands to jail
cp /bin/bash /bin/ls /home/jail/bin

4) ldd /bin/bash

5) copy ldd files to /home/jail/lib64
cp /lib64/libtinfo.so.5 /lib64/libdl.so.2 /lib64/libc.so.6 /lib64/ld-linux-x86-64.so.2 /home/jail/lib64

6) now to jail directory
chroot /home/jail
