Concepts and Rationale

The following concepts and technologies were applied during the development process:
1. Java Socket Programming: Sockets were used to establish communication between the client and server, enabling real-time message exchange. Swing

2. GUI Components: Swing components were utilized to create an intuitive and interactive user interface, including text fields, buttons, and panels.

3. Multithreading: Multithreading was employed to handle concurrent processing and ensure smooth communication between multiple clients.

4. Error Handling: Robust error handling mechanisms were implemented to handle exceptions and provide informative error messages to users.

5. JDBC: My Sql database was used to store messages to database named as mydb. It contains one table named as messages with 2 columns, id & message.

The rationale behind these choices was to utilize established Java libraries and technologies to develop a robust and user-friendly group chatting application.
