Adobe Illustrator Tutorial 06: Type and Procedural Path Modification Tools.
This tutorial introduces the various type tools and how to transform type into regular vector objects using the Outline command which allows you to transform characters independently, use tools that will not work with type objects, and modify each character using drawing tools. I also used this tutorial as an opportunity to show the procedural path tools located under the Width Profile tool. Namely, Wrinkle, Crystallize, Warp, Bloat, etc.
