Have you ever opened your GitHub profile and seen empty contribution boxes staring back at you?
In this video, I show how you can go back in time on your GitHub contribution graph — just like having a time machine for your GitHub profile.
Using a Python-based script and real Git commits with past dates, we create custom patterns and designs on the GitHub contribution graph. This is not fake rendering. These are real commits that GitHub counts.
What you will learn in this video:
How GitHub contribution graphs actually work
How patterns are converted into real commit dates
How to generate commits for a past year
How to visualize custom text or designs on your GitHub profile
This project is created for learning, experimentation, and fun.
Please do not misuse contribution graphs or mislead others.
Skills matter more than green boxes.
