Supervised learning
Supervised learning is an approach to machine learning, where the model has access to labeled data: data for which the output (its category or its value) is known. The goal is to train the model to detect underlying patterns and relationships, enabling it to yield good results when presented with never-before-seen data. Supervised learning is good at classification and regression problems, such as determining what category a news article belongs to or predicting the price of a house.
