This is a Python tutorial series for creating a GUI in PyQt5 and using matplotlib to add an interactive plot to it. The plot shows the sound spectrum from an MP3 audio file, and hovering the mouse over the plot makes a "harmonics ruler" show up, showing where harmonics might be located. Clicking the mouse plays the currently hovered-over pitch using the computer's speakers. The keyboard arrow keys allow for navigating through time in the MP3 file, and pressing the space bar plays the current audio segment, the spectrum for which is being shown in the plot.
