Firefox 55: Flash content blocked on non-HTTP non-HTTPS protocols
Mozilla plans to launch a new restriction for Flash in Firefox that prevents execution of the plugin to HTTP and HTTPS protocols only.
Flash will be blocked on file, ftp and other protocols.
