In this video I will be showing you how to create a basic graphical window in C++, using windows.h (winuser.h win32api). I will be using CodeBlocks as my IDE, and MinGW GCC as my compiler
For this series of tutorials, you must have a working knowledge of C++ (there are plenty of great tutorials on youtube), as well as a windows computer (recommend XP or later, never tried it on windows 8 though)
I have decided not to start with basic C++ as I feel there is already lots of great content on YouTube about it, and that is where I learnt. I am making windows.h tutorials because I feel there are not a lot of tutorials on YouTube about windows.h, and I find video tutorials very helpful. I am not a professional programmer, so I apologies if I sometimes make a mistake or do something in a strange way, please correct me if there is a better (faster more elegant way).
Please feel free to provide constructive feedback, or request a specific tutorial, and I will do my best. In addition, if you dislike this tutorial, please tell me why. I would like to know for future reference. I am aware that we only looked at the default project and did not make any changes, but I feel some explanation is in order before we get started on actually programming with windows.h
