What is off-page SEO with YouTube? What options do you have their? Well, the biggest option that you have is your channel page. On the top-left, you will see that one of the links listed is named after your channel page. It is the very top link, right above ‘Watch Later’. Click on this and you will be brought to your channel’s page. You can see an example of a channel page in the picture above.
This page will list all of the videos that you have along with some basic information about it. You will see each video’s thumbnail picture, when it was uploaded, how many views it has had, and the video’s description. Viewer’s can find you through your channel, especially if you are operating under a brand name.
There are certain things that you can control on this page, such as your icon and the image up at the very top. You also have control over your channel’s title and the videos that are put on this page, and you have the ability to ‘Share your thoughts’ on this page. In other words, you can include comments on this page in kind of the same way that you do on your Facebook wall.
Creating YouTube channels that each pertain specifically to a single niche can be very powerful, especially if you are part of a company that expands into different niches, or you yourself have several different areas of expertise. For example, if you work on computers, but you are also skilled in video production, and you do voice-training tutorials as well, you will want to have a different channel for each of these categories because they do not fall under the same niche.
