The goal of this research is to use a fuzzy logic controller to develop and simulate a closed-loop buck converter. A fuzzy logic controller is programmed to adjust the converter's duty cycle to control the output voltage of the buck converter. The fuzzy logic system is considered as a type of non-linear function interpolator. The mathematical model of a buck converter is derived to the design simulation model. In MATLAB/Simulink, the simulation of the designed model is created. By adding a variation of load to the buck converter, the simulation model features are tested. The simulation results are anticipated to indicate that the buck converter can step down the DC voltage to the appropriate output with a high efficiency even when the load changes.
Keywords—Fuzzy logic controller, DC-DC buck converter, MATLAB/Simulink, closed-loop converter.
