First video in a tutorial series to teach PL/SQL programming to people who know basic SQL with Oracle but want to learn how to create procedural code in the Oracle database. It only assumes basic SQL knowledge (such as SELECT, INSERT, UPDATE, and DELETE) and some experience working with tables/data in Oracle (or another database). No prior programming experience is required.
This first video is the longest and it covers a wide range of introductory topics. Subsequent videos in this tutorial series will be shorter and target very specific topics.
If you do not have an Oracle environment where you can practice, visit these two links to get setup:
1. Download and Install the free SQL*Developer IDE from Oracle
https://www.oracle.com/database/sqlde...
2. Install Oracle Virtual Box with the Oracle free Developer VM image

No additional setup is required and no scripts need to be run (all Oracle demo tables and accounts are exactly the same as they come in the Oracle downloads)
