Hey guys, I'm Alex! In this Unreal Engine 5 tutorial, I'll show you how to create a dynamic split-screen system inspired by titles like Split Fiction, LEGO Star Wars, and It Takes Two. We will build a system that automatically merges both players into a single shared camera when they are close and splits the screen when they move apart, just like in A Way Out.

We’ll build a shared camera that follows both players, smoothly zooms in and out, and switches between single-screen and split-screen modes.

Whatever u're making, a co-op brawler, party game, or local multiplayer experience, this approach is flexible and clean to get you started.
