In this video we set up the foundation for our GraphQL Books API. We create the Book and Author JPA entities, define their relationships, build out the Spring Data repositories and connect everything to a PostgreSQL database using Docker Compose. By the end we'll have sample data loaded and ready to query in the next video when we start building out our GraphQL schema.

📹 About this Course
In this series you'll learn how to build a GraphQL API from scratch using Spring Boot. We'll start with why GraphQL exists and work our way through schema design, data fetchers, performance optimization, observability and more.
