Open a terminal window and type "python" to find out if it is already installed and which version is installed.
To add the Python directory to the path for a particular session in Windows −

At the command prompt − type path %path%;C:\Python3.6 and press Enter.

Note − C:\Python3.6 is the path of the Python directory
