Set JAVA_HOME Variable On Windows 10
After downloading and installing jdk you have to do next steps to set up JAVA_HOME variable :
1- allocate path of installation folder of java on windows ex : C:\Program Files\Java.
2- You will find jre and jdk folder.
3- open start menu and type 'env' you will find ' Edit the system environment variables ' click on it.
4- Choose ' Environment Variables '.
5- Under ' System Variables ' looking for 'Path' in variable column and double click to edit it.
6- Back to java installation folder open jdk folder and then bin folder , from the top select the folder path from address bar and copy selected path.
7- back to ' Edit environment variable ' window , and click ' New ' and past url.
8- Back to java installation folder open jre folder and then bin folder , from the top select the folder path from address bar and copy selected path.
9- back to ' Edit environment variable ' window , and click ' New ' and past url.
10- click ok .
11- Back to java installation folder open jdk folder from the top select the folder path from address bar and copy selected path.
12- Back to ' Environment Variables ' Window and click ' New ' under ' User Variables '.
13- In ' Variable Name ' type JAVA_HOME
14- in ' Variable Value ' past the path to jdk folder
Test now :
open cmd from start menu and type ' java -version ' and enter key , if every thing is ok
