PL/SQL Character Set
basic character set includes
1. alphbets A-Z(Upper case)
and a-z(Lower Case)
2. Numbers 0-9
3. Symbols ()+-*/=!;:.@etc
Note : Words used in PL/SQL block are
called lexical units and blank space can be used between lexical units this have no effect on the pl/sql block
Literals
Literals is a numeric or character string used to represent itself. It is of three types
1. Numeric literals
Can be either integer or floats. floating part can be represented using and separated by period symbol. Some eg.
2,6,124, 23.45,23e-3,+17 etc
2.String Literals/Character Literals
'Hello world!' (Set of characters)
'a','*' etc
3.Logical Literals
these are predetermined constants, the values can be assigned to this data type are TRUE,FALSE,NULL.
