The SWIFT code is used for sending money to overseas banks. A Society for Worldwide Interbank Financial Telecommunication code is an eleven-digit code, in which the first 4 digits denotes bank then next two digits denotes country and next two digits are for location code, last 3 digits are branch code. The swift code is also known as Bank Identifier Code or BIC.
