To enter maintenance mode.
#vim-cmd hostsvc/maintenance_mode_enter
To Install Update
#esxcli software vib update -d "package path"
Example :
esxcli software vib update -d "/vmfs/volumes/66fe5eb6-1977bf8c-7d5a-000c2987d13b/VMware-ESXi-7.0U3p-23307199-depot.zip"
To exit maintenance mode.
#vim-cmd hostsvc/maintenance_mode_exit
