Behind the Scenes: Cheat Code ep 1 (VFX tutorial)

To achieve teleportation, I first watched the Film Riot tutorial on his teleport effect. He says to buy some vfx and sound fx packs, but I just searched and downloaded similar ones from youtube.
FILMING (on a tripod):
1 - CLEAN PLATE. This is a clean shot with nothing in the shot, that you use to lay under your footage when in After Effects.
2 - ACTING: This is the part where I react to the cars teleporting, I tried several different options.
3 - CARS: I drove each car into the frame, then shook it to make them look like they dropped out of the sky.

EDITING:
I usually use After Effects, but this time I simply used Premiere Pro!
1 - CLEAN PLATE goes on bottom layer.
2 - ACTING shot goes above.
3 - CAR shots go on top. I lower the opacity of the car shots and line them up with the correct timing. Then I applied the "crop" effect to one side of the image, to reveal my character. I bring the opacity back up to full, then I "feather" the crop edge to blend it in. BOOM! That is how to teleport cars.
4 - EXTRA. The only think I did differently when teleporting myself out of the video at the end, was I overlayed a video clip of a "shockwave" over myself as I teleported out. The clip I had was on a black background, so I added a Luma Key effect to the shockwave footage.
5 - SOUND. I used a mixture of a bullet flying by, and a low explosion in the distance, to simulate the teleport sound effect.
