This is my third video on using frames in Simulink®. This video picks up where the second video left off, namely, where we encountered an algebraic loop warning in our discrete-time integrator simulation.

Learn how to work around such an algebraic loop warning using a For-Iterator subsystem. The workaround doesn’t take much time, is fairly straightforward, and is broadly applicable. That said, it is not the most intuitive process, as it involves using blocks that most Simulink users don’t use much on a day-to-day basis. This was the primary impetus behind having a step-by-step video on the topic. A nice side benefit of this approach is the simulation speedup achieved. This video’s focus is not on speed; there will be a follow-on video that will concentrate solely on benchmarking with.
