What is the difference between exception and error ? Java Interview Questions and Answers ?

Exceptions :

Exceptions are an abnormal conditions that can be handled or controlled by the developer and programmer

Exceptions are related to the application level issues and it is possible to recover.

Example : FileNotFoundException,etc.

Errors :
Error are those conditions that cannot be handled or controlled by the programmer or developer.

Errors should never be created, thrown, caught, or repaired. They are usually beyond the scope of your application code such as 'out of memory'. Even if you caught an out of memory error, you wouldn't likely be in a better place than the system garbage collector to fix this, so its better to let the system crash and repair the root cause.

When Error occur then our program stops and do not run.
Example : Out of memory error, etc.
