Using the new online editor in Smap, https://www.smap.com.au, you can base a new survey on an existing one. You can also make the new survey update the same table of results as the existing survey. This capability is in version 16.01+ of the Smap Server.

This video shows this for a scenario where a patient completes a survey. The doctor then reviews the data the patient has entered however the survey they use has some additional questions. The data entered by both the doctor and the patient can be analysed together.
