I use the Shift suite of tools: https://shift-ast.org/ which enable you to parse, transform, and generate new JavaScript. Also look at shift-query-cli (https://www.npmjs.com/package/shift-q...) and shift-codegen-cli (https://www.npmjs.com/package/shift-c...)
You can use https://astexplorer.net/ to visualize ASTs in the browser.
