An introduction to the Hypervolume Indicator, with a worked through visualised example. The Hypervolume Indicator (HV) is extremely useful when dealing with Multi-Objective Problems, e.g. when using Evolutionary Algorithms for Optimisation or Machine Learning.
This introduction is intended for everyone, specially those who are interested in learning about something new. No pre-existing knowledge of the subject or any scientific background is expected.
This entire presentation was coded in Unity3D, including the interactive Hypervolume Indicator visualisations.
