SDU Tools 112 Create SQL Server Login with SID from Database
SDU Tools are free tools and example T-SQL code for SQL Server developers and DBAs. This procedure recreates a missing SQL Server login. This often happens when a database is restored on a new server. The user is present in the database but no login exists on the server. Creating a new login often causes problems as it uses a new SID (security ID). This procedure avoids that issue.
