This video will show you how to run Microsoft SQL Server in a Docker container, using the official SQL Server Development edition Docker image. This allows you to run SQL Server anywhere, including on MacOS - enabling a full .NET Core, EF Core, SQL development stack on your Mac!

You can connect to and manage the server using Azure Data Studio. This of course also works on Windows and means you don't have to have SQL Server installed to develop SQL based applications.
