Data Types are the classification / categorisation of Data Items. It represents the kind of value that tells what operations can be performed, on a particular data (add, remove, indexing, slicing, etc. - whether they are mutable, or not)

When choosing a Data Type in Python, it is quite useful to understand the properties of that type. Choosing the right type or collection, and for a particular Data Set, means an increase in: productivity, efficiency, and security!
