Cataloging with Java, Spring Shell & a Barcode Scanner
Today is a big upgrade for my personal library project — I finally got a barcode scanner.
No more typing ISBNs by hand… no more waiting for the webcam to focus… just pure beep-beep-beep efficiency.
In this devlog, I walk through the next major step for my app Bibby, the tool I’m building to catalog my entire book collection using Java, Spring Boot, Google Books API, and a custom enrichment pipeline.
